About This Store
The Al Jarir Bookstore at Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain was inaugurated on April 30, 2019, marking the company's third showroom in the UAE. Spanning 2,500 square meters, the store was strategically located in the Retail Park section of the mall, offering a wide range of books, electronics, and office supplies. Its proximity to other major retailers in the Retail Park, such as Danube Home and United Furniture, provided a comprehensive shopping experience for customers. The store's design emphasized accessibility and customer convenience, featuring spacious aisles and well-organized product displays. Targeting a diverse demographic, including students, professionals, and families, the store aimed to cater to the educational and technological needs of the Al Ain community. However, despite its promising start, the showroom faced challenges in meeting performance expectations. On November 22, 2020, Jarir Marketing Company announced the closure of this showroom, citing continued underperformance and the unlikely improvement of its performance in the near future. The closure resulted in estimated losses of SAR 4.6 million, primarily due to lease termination and asset write-offs. ((
